Oakleys Place in Arkville

One of the best pizza's I've had since returning from a 3 year job in Italy. Not a crumb left on the plate.

Being that it's wood oven fired, Food takes a while. On a busy day you may wait more then an hour. If you run out of your drink you'll be asked for a refill then charged for it so you may be better with water. However; serveice is excellent and will keep you busy with some bread, their Italian is great and the Maranara is to die for.

Food is always spot-on, friendly staff, wide variety of beers, big menu. The owner spotted that our pizza came out before other orders, fearing it would get cold he immediately ordered another pizza for us to go as a kind gesture. Totally unnecessary but appreciated. Highly recommend Oakley's.

Great oven baked pizza and the inside is very nice. Seems like a fully stocked bar. Also has outdoor seating. They are closed on Mondays.

Great place for a bite with friends and family. Servers are awesome. Food is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes awesome but others just meh. Pizza is best dish. New York style but the wood grill gives it a bit of smoke. Makes for great flavor.

Fast and friendly service, great pizza and sandwiches. We felt very comfortable dinning with our 5 month old twins. We would definitely come back.

Was there twice in a 2 day period . It obviously is the best bar and restaurant for miles in the Catskill mountains and is popular with the locals . Good beer selection , and EXCEPTIONAL CALZONES I was blown away how big and delicious a calzone was for just under 9 bucks . The next day i went back to try the gyro based on a patron's recommendation but the gyro was very lackluster , not from the traditional spit but the frozen / diner like quality . The server was very nice as well as the owner . For beer , pizza , wings , and calzones Id say DEFINITELY check out this cool family friendly bar / parlor with outside patio seating . Its off Route 28 in Catskills , NY .

Unbelievably good. Plan to bring group of riders here for a late lunch.

We stopped here for a quick dinner. Food was good. Sadly the night we were there, most of the things we wanted were out, but somewhat to be expected during a pandemic and getting deliveries is hard. Frozen Piñacoladas were good and refreshing. The wings were excellent with the mild sauce. They are close to Belleyre mountain so good place so stop after a day of skiing or snowboarding.

We came to visit my brother inlaw who got married the night before. We decided to go eat at a near by restaurant and we saw this one. It was out first time at the restaurant and the waitress was nice the food was really good. I love their steak sandwich with green peppers, onions and mushrooms and their pizza and fries were good. My husband loved their bbq wings. He kept talking about it when we left how he wish he could had bought more wings.

We went on a Thursday. Oakley's online site says they have $10 large pizzas w/one topping on Thursdays. When we arrived and received our menus it said the same thing. We tried to order 3 large pizzas, but we were told they were no longer offering that special. They should update their website and menus to reflect that they are no longer offering this special. If not for that, I would have given them five stars. Pizza was good and so was the service.

The food was excellent. Best fried pickles anywhere on the planet! Cuban sandwich was perfectly prepared. The others who are dining with me thoroughly enjoyed what they had as well. Definitely make it back to Oakleys!

We ordered 3 pizzas to go and it needed us to wait for an hour. There were a lot of people waiting before us. This place could get busier during the weekends. The ambience is nice, the pizza was great and the staff is very friendly! Highly recommend if you have some time to kill.

Visiting from out of town. It gets points for being the only place open at 9 on a summer Saturday night. But they only had half the items on their menu... Maybe things are different in the winter. Price is expensive for what you get but again, hard to compare since we didn't try anything else. Staff is friendly but quality of food is low

Very busy means good food and good service. This restaurant bar is a must if you are in the neighborhood. The wings are incredible. All the staff are super friendly. It won't disappoint.

We always saw a ton of cars outside this place, so we knew it must be good. Finally got a chance to have lunch there. We had chicken hero, eggplant hero, pulled pork sandwich. All were excellent, delicious flavor, large portions. They give you a large mug of hot freshly-brewed coffee too! Interested to see they have a good selection of beer on tap. Hope we can visit again soon. Thank you for a great lunch!

Great pizza, and great beer selection. Prompt, friendly service. Nice new heated outdoor area too. They just need more parking!

Fantastic well cooked food, an oasis

Jill was our server. She was amazing, very patient. We were a group of dysfunctional 8 but she handled us very well. The food is great and very Fresh!

I've had their pizza many times - it is excellent! Their pizza is as good as some of the best pizza I've had back home in NYC (e.g. Grimaldi's, New Park Pizza, Patsy's). They're reasonably priced which is an added bonus. We've dined in in the past; service and food (Margherita pie) were great. There are other menu items worth trying (e.g. wood-fire grilled burgers!) if you're not in the mood for pizza.

This place food is the best in the area, burgers and pizza are amazing. Not sure if they do delivery but they have cary out

Great tasting food at a reasonable price

Just came here for dinner on a girls trip. It was a recommendation from our air b&b host. It's easy to find. You can't miss the line of cars that over flow the parking lot. That is always a foodies first clue to eating food in a new place. What sets this place apart is the wood burning grill. Everything was delicious. We ordered onion rings, chicken wings (breaded), fried pickles, and burgers. The owner, Gerorge, was kind & conversational. We met his wife and found out we live 15 minutes away from each other on Long Island. They have a lively bar with delicious drinks. I would recommend and will be back.

I’m not a pizza eater and in the city my favorite place is Roberta’s. Oakley’s pizza does not lose to Roberta’s. Fresh out of the oven pie, chewy and soft dough, and the tasty and flavorful cheese - this place did not disappoint.Also I have no idea why some other customers are complaining about the food portion. The food size is generous, in my opinion.

My only complaint is that after paying $2.50 per soda (even the kids small cups are the same price) and you do not get free refills on them. Otherwise the place was great, food and hospitality fantastic. If refills were included would have been 5 stars. For the price of the soda compared to the size you receive, I feel refills should be free.

The restaurant is under new ownership. The deck was recently redone & extended. It fits a lot more people; Perfect renovation. The restaurant has a great atmosphere & great food. The owner is very friendly.
